Star of David Used For Ritual Items
One of the things used in Witch Rituals is the cup and the wand, they come in various designs. The cup (also chalice, goblet) is associated with the female forces in the universe: fertility, beauty, the womb, earth, emotion, love, compassion, receptivity, instinct, intuition and the subconscious mind. It is the receptacle of spiritual forces. It is associated with the element of water. Held upright, the belief is that the cup is the open womb, ready to receive. Held inverted, it symbolizes birth and realization. The chief purpose for the cup in neo-pagan witchcraft is to assist in concencrating the circle, toast the gods, spellcasting, scrying, and ritual work.
So what about the symbol - A chalice with the most important symbol of Witchcraft, the pentacle.
The pentacle (or pentagram) is a Witches symbol of protection and
positive power. The five points signify earth, air, fire, water and
spirit. Silver plated, about 8 inches. Amazingly this same symbol is on the Jewish Flag In Israel and this same symbol is what our brothers and sisters ignorantly wear thinking it has something to do with our heritage.
