The Hebrew word for leprosy is tzaraath which is derived from the word "tsara", which means to be struck. To be struck, is to be affected by something overwhelming, in which a primitive root of "tsara" means to scourge, which to scourge means to whip or inflict punishment. So based upon that understanding alone, one comes to perceive that leprosy is a divine punishment for sin. Then upon reading a few precepts in the bible, that belief becomes further concreted and is understood as the Most High affected someone with leprosy to inflict punishment upon them for their sin. So because of the translation error of the scribes from the Hebrew to the Greek and from the Greek to the English, religious institutions teach that those who have leprosy today, are being punished by the Most High for their sins, in which the same argument is made in the case of aids. So lets dive right into the book of scriptures and lay the truth butt naked, and bring forth some understanding as to the form of leprosy you are suffering from, if indeed you are.
Question: What happen unto Miriam once she spoke out against her brother Moses?
Numbers 12:5 - And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
Numbers 12:9 - And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
Numbers 12:10 - And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
FYI: See this is where religious leaders come to and say, "see, the Most High in his anger turned Miriam leprous, white as snow", so from that context they say those that have leprosy today are under the divine punishment for sin. Examine this picture:

When the terms leprous and snow are combined, you get leprous snow, which there is no such thing as leprous snow, but when you add the word "as" to the combination, you get a parallel, which is something having the property of being analogous to something else. Now when something is analogous to something else, that means it corresponds in function but not in evolutionary origin, which is why the leprosy of the bible is totally different than the leprosy of today, in which you see up above in the picture. Leprosy is also known as Hansen's disease, which is a curable bacterial disease which primarily affects the upper respiratory system, nervous system and mucosa. The disease is caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium leprae, in which the disease kills nerve cells capable of sending pain messages to the brain in the extremities, and the results vary such as whats shown up above in the picture.
So because of the translation error of the scribes from the Hebrew to the Greek and from the Greek to the English, the leprosy of the bible is taken in context upon those who have it today, as a divine punishment for sin, when clearly the leprosy of the bible is not the same as it is today. Leprosy does not cause the skin to turn white, nor does it cause hair to turn white, the condition which can be confused with leprosy and which causes a whitening of the skin, is Leucaderma or Vitiligo. Examine the picture up above again, and you'll see those with leprosy don't turn white today, they turn hideous looking, as where those with Vitiligo, turn white, which proves that the leprosy of today is not a divine punishment of sin upon those who have it today, and that the Most High more than likely afflicted Miriam and others which turned white, with Vitiligo. The Old Testament identifies three manifestations of "tzaraath", with the first as being an affliction of human skin, of garments, and of houses, but we are going to focus on the leprosy of sin and spiritual leprosy now, so lets continue.
Question: What was one of the signs the Most High showed unto Moses?
Exodus 4:6 - And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.
Examine the picture:

FYI: You ever notice that in the movie Ten Commandments, this sign of Moses putting his hands in his bosom is never shown? Why? Because if the people of the bible where white as society has declared, then what would be the significance of this sign? What would impress a white Pharaoh to see another white man turn whiter? Nothing, he would have been like man are you sick, but knowing the people of the bible where of color, then for Moses to go before Pharaoh and show this sign, it would freak him out to see a dark skin man hand turn white before his eyes. So now you understand how come Charleston Hester who played Moses in the movie Ten Commandments, never displayed this sign, cause he already being white, couldn't make his hand turn white. So with Miriam being Moses sister, that confirms also that she was a woman of color as well, cause how could she turn white if she was already white? Moses punishment was him being not able to cross over into the promise land, not his hand becoming leprous as snow, so to say leprosy is a divine punishment for sin caused by the Most High upon those who have it today, is nothing but false doctrine. Lets continue back to the precept, and break it down further.
Question: What was one of the signs the Most High showed unto Moses?
Exodus 4:6 - And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.
FYI: The meaning of this precept is twofold, by having Moses put his hand in his bosom, is showing that by the power of the Most High, he should bring sore diseases upon Egypt, that at his prayer they should be removed. What you must understand is that, the Israelites in Egypt were become leprous, meaning polluted by sin, and almost consumed by oppression. So by being taken into the bosom of Moses, they should be cleansed and cured, in which Moses stood as a Saviour, thus symbolically showing that the prophet that the Most High shall raise up of thy brethern, which was Christ, would be a Saviour and by the power of the Most High, he would work miracles before the Israelites, that if they be taken into the bosom of the Son, by their repentance and prayer and baptism in his death, they would be cleansed from the leprosy of sin, which plagues one in the bosom, which the bosom is the heart. So in order to be cleansed from the leprosy of sin, one must follow as stated previously and must be obedient in order to receive the cure which is the Spirit of the Most High.
Question: What did the Most High do?
Romans 8:3 - For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
FYI: Being in the flesh is symbolic to a computer, because we are programmed a certain way, and we are in a system were we are prone to become infected with viruses. So in order to remove the viruses out of the computer, we need a program that can quarantine our computer and take the viruses away. Christ was the program that was made in the flesh to quarantine us from the virus of sin, which is why the instructions with the program says repent and be baptized in the name of Christ for the remission of sin. Remission means to remove, so if we are going to get the virus out of our system, so that we can become cleansed, we must be baptized and received the quarantine of Christ, which is his spirit, in our computer, which is our heart, same as with the bosom. See what you must understand is that the term leper, is more than just a disease it is a condition, in which most of society today especially those of us who come into the truth of the gospel, can be considered to be lepers. Well some of you might say, how so, in which that I shall show you, so lets break it down like nine Mexicans in a two door car.
Question: What did the prophet Isaiah say in regards to the coming Saviour?
Isaiah 53:3 - He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
FYI: The Saviour was prophesied to be despised, meaning he would be look down on with contempt, in which this emotional response or behaviour, would be through carnal minds strong dislike for him. Which through this strong dislike, would he in their eyes be judged as unacceptable, thus resulting in them turning their back on him, which is how they would hide their faces from him. But what should he do - Isaiah 11:4 - But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. John 7:7 - The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. Now if your of the world your of a carnal mind, which means your wicked, so your not going to be waiting for a Saviour to come nor will you accept him which Romans 8:7 says - Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. The flesh does not want to submit to the will of the Most High, it does that which pleases itself, so anything that opposes its will, it despises and rejects it.
FYI: So that flesh has to be subdued by way of repentance and water baptism into death, in order for the mind of an individual to be able to submit to the will of the Most High, then can they be converted. See the flesh opposes righteousness, simply because its against its will or nature, so those who operate in the flesh, are confined in their body, thus meaning they are in prison of the mind, and when one is in prison, you can't see outside of the walls that are built to confine you. So your window of understanding, is closed off by nature, same as it is with the flesh, and by it being so, you can't see nor hear outside of your place of confinement. This is how one can have eyes, but yet can't see, this is how one can have ears, but yet can't hear, they are blind to anything that's outside of the world which they live in, which is their flesh. So of course when Christ came, those of the world despised him and rejected him, and didn't accept him. So how can you expect to tell people that are of this world, the truth of the gospel and expect them to hear you and see what your saying? Its impossible, but through Christ being in us, is the power of the Most High working to awaken those that have been predestined to salvation, thus making all things possible through Christ who strengthens us.
Question: What did Christ say in regards to those who hear?
Matthew 11:15 - He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
FYI: You cannot hear unless you are dead to the pomp of this world and the pleasures of sense, thus being so, makes you alive unto the Most High and dead to sin. Having this ear to hear, is truly a blessing, which is why Christ said - Matthew 13:16 - But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Which goes to show you, him that hath an ear to hear, has been predestined to hear, which means not everybody shall be able to comprehend the truth. So how come others don't here - Deuteronomy 29:4 - Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day. Psalm 10:17 - LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: They hear not, because the Most High hasn't seen the humbleness in their heart, that he should open their understanding that they would be able to have an ear to perceive, therefore he doesn't awaken their ear to hear as the learned. What reigns in the heart that keeps one from being able to hear? The leprosy of sin.
Question: So where was Christ from?
John 17:16 - They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
FYI: So if Christ despite being in the world, which in this regards I'm speaking of is the flesh, and was not of the world, then how could they see something that's outside of themselves? They couldn't, which should cause one to ask, well then what made Christ not of this world - Isaiah 11:2 - And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; These spirits upon him made him not of this world, simply because these spirits come from on high from the Most High himself, and not from this world. This is how come when your in Christ, what happens - John 15:20 - Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. John 17:14 - I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. So this is how come when your in Christ which is the truth, you are persecuted, spit on, lied on, despised and rejected, turn down by people, judged as unacceptable, friends and co-workers and husbands and wives turn on you, and because your in Christ your hated and you even have people of the world who wish you to be dead. You know this to be the truth, because ask yourself when has the Spirit of the Most High ever put itself to death?
FYI: Never, so one who is a possessor of the Spirit of the Most High, doesn't put himself to death or others who have the Spirit of the Most High to death, but instead are put to death by those who don't have the Spirit of the Most High, which would be those of the world aka flesh. This understanding here that I'm bringing, the Apostle Paul understood it clearly, which is why he was able to make this statement - 2 Timothy 3:12 - Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. So just as brothers and sisters look to the signs to determine that they are Israelites, they also need to look to the signs in which Christ was persecuted, then can they know if they are in Christ. What did Christ say unto the disciples - Luke 21:17 - And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. That precept came directly out of Christ's mouth, so ask yourself, if those that are in Christ are to be hated by the world because they are not of the world but in Christ, then how can these TD Jakes and Eddie Long's and Creflo Dollar's and Joel Osteen's, be in Christ, if they are loved by the world? So is it a good thing to be running around here supposedly being in Christ, and the world just loving you and got all these wonderful things to say about you - Luke 6:26 - Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. That's not good at all folks when everybody just loving you and esteeming you so high, that's what those of the flesh did unto the false prophets, you better check yourself before hell tailor make you a suit size 6 feet under.
FYI: This is why Christ said - John 15:18-19 - If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. To be hated folks is to be rejected, so as I said before say I again. See what you must understand is that the term leper, is more than just a disease it is a condition, in which most of society today especially those of us who come into the truth of the gospel, can be considered to be lepers, well how so, lets examine.
Question: So what is a leper?
Babylon English Dictionary
Leper - noun - one who is infected with leprosy (infectious bacterial disease); outcast, one who is rejected by society.
Concise Oxford English Dictionary
Leper - noun - 1. a person suffering from leprosy. 2. a person who is shunned by others.
Merriam Webster Collegiate Dictionary
Leper - 1 : a person affected with leprosy 2 : a person shunned for moral or social reasons.
FYI: A leper is a person who is outcast by society, and is shunned by others and despised and rejected, and avoided by others, which is the same thing I just broke down up above in regards to Christ and those of him, which they too suffer from the condition of spiritual leprosy. So this affliction upon you, is not a disease, it is a condition, so yes it is true, if you are in the truth of the gospel of Christ, you are suffering from a form of leprosy and can be considered a leper. People hate you don't they, your considered a outcast or marked as being in a cult, they despise and reject you don't they? So are you being punished by the Most High for sin because you have leprosy? No, what did Christ say about those who are not of this world and are in this condition - Luke 6:22-23 - Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
FYI: No your not being punished, being in this condition is a blessing, Christ says rejoice be happy that you are in this condition, because your in it not because of sin, but because you believe in him. So you ought to rejoice because great is your reward in heaven, continue to endure to the end as he did, and for one to do so, they must have - Isaiah 11:2 - And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; You must have these spirits upon you which come from the Most High, thus by having them, they shall do what - Isaiah 11:3 - And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: They shall make you of quick understanding in the fear of the Most High, therefore you will not judge after the sight of your eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of your ears, in which those of the world judge by their eyes and reprove after the hearing of their ears, because they suffer from the leprosy of sin.
FYI: This is why Christ said in Matthew 7:1 - Judge not, that ye be not judged, then goes on to show one must be cleansed from the flesh, in order to show another person how to righteously free themselves from the prison of sin. Then one is instructed to do what - John 7:24 - Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. So in order to judge after this manner, you must have what - Philippians 2:5 - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: You must have the mind of Christ, in which his mind was to - John 6:38 - For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. Christ had the heart to do the will of the Father, and the will of the Father was to do what - John 6:40 - And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. What is it? To believe on the Son, so the Israelite brothers and sisters who just believe in the Most High and not his son, are already condemned for hell, which is why they can't see past the place which they dwell in, which is their flesh, mentally and spiritually, they are in prison of the mind plagued in the bosom with the leprosy of sin.
Question: What hath the Most High done unto them?
John 12:40 - He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
FYI: This curse was pronounce back in the Old Testament which is what these so called Israelite brothers and sisters hold fast to, but yet can't see even in the Old Testament has the Most High already condemned them for damnation, unless they repent, and believe on his Son. So they are afflicted with the soul of leprosy which is sin, and by the Most High blinding them and hardening their hearts, is how he is inflicting punishment upon them. So this form of leprosy is not a beautiful ordeal, but if those who suffer from the leprosy of sin be taken into the bosom of the Son, by their repentance and prayer and baptism in his death, and receive his Spirit, they would be cleansed from the leprosy of sin, which plagues one in the bosom, which the bosom is the heart. The Most High asked Moses to put what in his bosom? His hand, and what does that require? Action, and what does the heart represent? Who you are, so the action that you take becomes who you are - Luke 6:45 - A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. So which do you suffer from the leprosy of sin, or spiritual leprosy which is a blessing? So those that suffer from Spiritual leprosy, rejoice and love your condition brothers and sisters, it is a beautiful thing, to be despised and rejected by society and labeled as being in a cult. The world may shut you out, but remember one thing - John 6:37 - All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Shalom - Bet you never thought of being a leper lol
