Matthew 24 (Part 2)

Matthew 24:4-5 - And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

FYI: Christ gives them a caution to beware of deception, informing them to stay constantly on their guard, because many would arise to deceive the people. Thus showing them, it is very key to take heed to his counsel, cause without doing so, they wouldn't be able to escape being deceived by the deceivers who were to come. So he confirmed them in the faith of himself. Many was expected to come on the scene professing themselves as being the Messiah, lets go to the Josephus and find out if this has happen.

War of the Jews Book 6 Chapter 5

A false prophet was the occasion of these people's destruction, who had made a public proclamation in the city that very day, that God commanded them to get upon the temple, and that there they should receive miraculous signs of their deliverance. Now there was then a great number of false prophets suborned by the tyrants to impose on the people, who denounced this to them, that they should wait for deliverance from God; and this was in order to keep them from deserting, and that they might be buoyed up above fear and care by such hopes. Now a man that is in adversity does easily comply with such promises; for when such a seducer makes him believe that he shall be delivered from those miseries which oppress him, then it is that the patient is full of hopes of such his deliverance. Thus were the miserable people persuaded by these deceivers, and such as belied God himself; while they did not attend nor give credit to the signs that were so evident, and did so plainly foretell their future desolation, but, like men infatuated, without either eyes to see or minds to consider, did not regard the denunciations that God made to them.

FYI: A false prophet was the occasion of the people's destruction, in which you then read that there was then a great number of false prophets suborned by the tyrants to impose on the people. The tyrants were those in power ruling, who in today's time would be the government. The tyrants hired these false prophets as the CIA does with televangelist false prophets today, to deceive the people by giving them a false testimony of deliverance, as the CIA does with the false prophet televangelist today with the Rapture doctrine, to make them think they are going to be delivered up into the sky. This the government does today to keep the people from liquidating all their assets here in America, and leaving the country in hopes of not being taken captive at the coming New World Order.

FYI: So when you have a failing economy and rapid job losses and people being exposed to more information about microchips and knowing the bible shows them as being a sign of the mark of the beast, if you give them a false testimony about deliverance, the people will easily comply with such promises in full hopes of such deliverance, just as you read here about the people back then. Thus showing you, ain't nothing new under the sun, which is why Christ caution the disciples ahead of time. Also according to Josephus, the Jewish historian, twelve years after Christ's death, when Cuspius Fadus was governor of Judea, arose an impostor of the name of Theudas, who said he was a prophet, and persuaded a great multitude to follow him with their best effects to the river Jordan, which he promised to divide for their passage; and saying these things, says Josephus, he deceived many: almost the very words of Christ.

War of the Jews Book 2 Chapter 13

4. There was also another body of wicked men gotten together, not so impure in their actions, but more wicked in their intentions, which laid waste the happy state of the city no less than did these murderers. These were such men as deceived and deluded the people under pretense of Divine inspiration, but were for procuring innovations and changes of the government; and these prevailed with the multitude to act like madmen, and went before them into the wilderness, as pretending that God would there show them the signals of liberty. But Felix thought this procedure was to be the beginning of a revolt; so he sent some horsemen and footmen both armed, who destroyed a great number of them.

FYI: These were such men, is speaking of those whom Christ said would come in Matthew 24:5, in which these men deceived and deluded, which means be false to or be dishonest with, the people. Doing so under pretense of divine inspiration, is them pretending as if they were anointed and sent by the Most High. Now you can begin to understand why Christ caution the disciples to beware of deception of men, informing them to stay constantly on their guard, because many would arise to deceive the people, as you are reading about now here in the Josephus. They caused the multitude of people to act like madmen, in which madmen act out of order crazy and foolish and are overtaken by excitement and emotions. So once they had the multitude of people in this state of mind, they led them out to the wilderness, pretending as if the Most High through them would show signs and miracles. These false prophets seduced great numbers of the people who were still expecting the Messiah, therefore you can see why Christ caution the disciples ahead of time. Also understand that at the time of Felix (who is mentioned in Acts 23-25), the country of the Jews was filled with impostors so much, that Felix had put them to death every day, thus showing you their great number in those days.

War of the Jews Book 2 Chapter 13

5. But there was an Egyptian false prophet that did the Jews more mischief than the former; for he was a cheat, and pretended to be a prophet also, and got together thirty thousand men that were deluded by him; these he led round about from the wilderness to the mount which was called the Mount of Olives, and was ready to break into Jerusalem by force from that place; and if he could but once conquer the Roman garrison and the people, he intended to domineer over them by the assistance of those guards of his that were to break into the city with him. But Felix prevented his attempt, and met him with his Roman soldiers, while all the people assisted him in his attack upon them, insomuch that when it came to a battle, the Egyptian ran away, with a few others, while the greatest part of those that were with him were either destroyed or taken alive; but the rest of the multitude were dispersed every one to their own homes, and there concealed themselves.

FYI: So just as Christ had said to the disciples that many would come in his name, and as you just read about up above showing that did happen, here you hear the account of an Egyptian false prophet. In Acts 21:38, the Apostle Paul was thought by the Chief captain to be the Egyptian false prophet that madest and uproar and led out into the wilderness 4,000 men that were murderers. This same Egyptian false prophet, as you read here in the Josephus, persuaded 30,000 men to follow him to Mount Olivet, promising a free passage into the city, in which when Felix was on his head he fled and many of his followers were killed and taken captive. But besides them, there were many more magicians and impostors, that pretended to do signs and wonders, and promised the people deliverance from their evils, by whom they were imposed upon to their ruin.

FYI: Also there were others also besides these, that set up for deliverers, who called themselves by the name of the Messiah, such as the likes of Simon Magus. Simon Magus you read a little bit about in Acts chapter 8, who in the city of Samaria, used sorcery and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one, to which the people gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God, thus being perceived as being Christ. Then you had Dositheus the Samaritan, who asserted himself to be Christ, claiming he was the Christ foretold by Moses. Then also you had Menander, who affirmed that no man could be saved, unless he was baptized in his name, thus did all these instances take place as Christ said before the destruction of Jerusalem. The names of 24 false Messiahs are recorded as having appeared between the time of the Emperor Adrian and the year 1682.

FYI: So now you see the sign of the false Christs coming in his name, was fulfilled, so those you hear talking about Christians are those who the bible was talking about coming in his name cause Christian mean Christ like, are false prophets. Also John, recorded saying - 1 John 2:18 - Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. Notice he didn't refer to it as being the last days but rather last time, which this is another account showing false Christ's were as Josephus described as being "in great number", just as Christ prophesied their would be "many". Also it is a fact that, there is no evidence that any one arose claiming this title before the beginning of His ministry. The appearance of false Christ's in our century should no more cause us to believe we are in the last days than a twentieth-century virgin birth should cause us to believe that Christ was born in the twentieth century.

Question: What was the second sign that Christ warned them about?

Matthew 24:6 - And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

FYI: So here you see Christ saying ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, and to hear of them is done so as they are reported. So they would hear of them as reports are given about them, which at the time of this prophecy being stated by Christ, the empire was in a state of peace then, the violent commotions hadn't occured just yet. So ask yourself this, who was the "ye" that he was talking to? Was it you in the here and now of America, or was Christ talking still to his disciples? If you say you here and now in America, then you are spiritually retarded, because you were not present when Christ was speaking to a direct audience of people, them being his disciples. He was letting them know still what was to come before the destruction of the city and temple, and telling them not to be alarmed and not to let it scare them or worry them, because these things must come to pass, what things, the things in which he told them that was going to happen which they inquired of back in Matthew 24:3. Christ told his disciples also, that the "end" is not yet, what does end in this precept mean?

Strong's Concordance

5056. telos

an end, a toll, From a primary tello (to set out for a definite point or goal); properly, the point aimed at as a limit, i.e. (by implication) the conclusion of an act or state (termination (literally, figuratively or indefinitely), result (immediate, ultimate or prophetic), purpose); specially, an impost or levy (as paid) -- + continual, custom, end(-ing), finally, uttermost.

FYI: So the word "end" used here in this precept, means the conclusion of an act or state, so when Christ told them the end is not yet, he was not talking about life on earth ceasing to exist then him coming back to judge the world, but rather that the end of the Jewish Age period was not yet, but approaching, but more things must happen first before the conclusion of the age period. So he was telling them not to be troubled, cause knowing wars and rumours of wars shall come, would frighten them to cease from preaching and leave out of the land of Judea as if the final destruction was immediately about to happen, so he was letting them know it was far from it, thus showing these things as the beginning of sorrows. You see this today with those who claim to be followers of Christ, who heard about Fema trains and camps and war with Iran and North Korea and China and Russia and banks closing and borders closing, who sold their possessions and got a plane ticket immediately and left out of America. Thus showing you first and foremost, they ignorant to the highest degree, cause this is not talking about during our time, which shows you they were troubled by the rumours they heard on you tube. Then after seeing none of the things happen as they were proclaiming which was why they were leaving, the same Spirit that showed them they needed to haste and flee America, apparently changed its mind to come right back to the place they claim was about to be destroyed, thus showing they are false prophets who are just like those who came in Christ name deceiving the people back then.

FYI: So in order to see if these wars and rumors of wars already took place, you would need to read the Antiquties of the Jews and War of the Jews. Then you will learn that, there were wars in the tributaries of Rome and all over Palestine, Galilee, and Samaria in 66 AD, before the destruction of Jerusalem. It was in 66 AD that they began, and end five years after, in which during this period all the Roman empire was filled with commotion, and further research shows you that, Bardanes, and after him Vologeses, declared war against the Jews, but they were not carried into execution, thus making them just rumours of wars. Also you learn that Vitellius, governor of Syria, declared war against Aretas, king of Arabia, and wished to lead his army through Palestine, but the death of Tiberius prevented the war, thus making it just a rumour of war that was declared but not carried into execution. Then further research shows more wars, as Nero, the emperor, was overthrown by Galba, then six months after, Galba was overthrown by Otho, then a few months after, Otho was overthrown by Vitelius, then a little later, he was overthrown by Vespasian.

FYI: Roman Emperor Caius, sent Petronius to be president of Syria, and successor in the government to Vitellius, and gave him order to make an invasion into Judea, with a great body of troops; and if they would admit of his statue willingly, to erect it in the temple of God; but if they were obstinate, to conquer them by war. So the Jews were in great fear, after learning that if they refused to let the Romans erect a statue in the temple, then war would be brought upon them. So this was a threat of war, meaning rumour of war if they fail to comply, and they were so afraid that they even neglected to till their land, but this storm was soon blown over, and their fears were dissipated by the timely death of that emperor, thus making it just a rumour of war, which is wars declared or threatened, but not carried into execution. So now you can understand as to why Christ warned the disciples that they shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, but to be not troubled, which you see all these wars and rumours of wars took place before the siege of Jerusalem.

Question: What else did Christ say to his disciples?

Matthew 24:7 - For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

FYI: Nation shall rise against nation, so what does the word nation mean?

1484. ethnos

a race, a nation, pl. the nations (as distinct from Isr.), Gentile, heathen, Probably from etho; a race (as of the same habit), i.e. A tribe; specially, a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually, by implication, pagan) -- Gentile, heathen, nation, people.

FYI: As you see here, the word nation means "a race", distinct from Israel, as the Gentiles were distinct from the children of Israel. Also remember, Christ is talking to his disciples here, thus letting them know there will be dissensions and insurrections and mutual slaughter of the Jews, and those of other nations who dwelt in the same cities together. When you do the research, you see it was at Caesarea, where the Jews and Syrians contended about the right of the city, which ended with 20,000 of the Jews being killed. This didn't set to well with the Jews and they were out of patience with the Syrians, so they burned and plundered the neighboring cities and villages of the Syrians, thus slaughtering many people. Then in return, at Scythopolis they killed 13,000 Jews, and at Ascalon they killed 2,500 Jews, then at Ptolemais they killed 2,000 Jews, and made many of them prisoners. The Tyrians also put many Jews to death, and imprisoned more, and also the people of Gadara did likewise, and all the other cities of Syria being agreement, as they hated the Jews. On another note, you also hear of this in 2 Esdras 13:31 which said - And one shall undertake to fight against another, one city against another, one place against another, one people against another, and one realm against another.

FYI: Then in Alexandria, there was an uprising against the Jews which left 50,000 of them slain, and the people of Damascus conspired against the Jews of that city, and, assaulting them unarmed, killed 10,000 of them. Then that of kingdom against kingdom, involved the open wars of different tetrarchies and provinces against one another, as that of the Jews who dwelt in Peraea against the people of Philadelphia concerning their bounds. Then you had the Jews and Galilaens against the Samaritans, for the murder of some Galilaeans going up to the Feast at Jerusalem while Cumanus was governor. Then you had that of the whole nation of the Jews against the Romans and Agrippa and other allies of the Roman empire, which began while Gessius Mortis was governor. But as Josephus saith, "there was not only sedition and civil war throughout Judea, but likewise in Italy," Otho and Vitellius contending for the empire as I already stated above. So again you see, nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom, has already been fulfilled before the destruction of Jerusalem.

Famines

FYI: The next part of the precept stated that "there shall be famines", which if you go to Acts 11:28 it reads - And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar. Dearth is 3042 in the Strong's which is the word "limos", which means - hunger, famine, Probably from leipo (through the idea of destitution); a scarcity of food -- dearth, famine, hunger. History shows, that 30,000 deaths from famine alone occured in Rome, and when you go to Josephus 5.10.2, you will find more information.

Josephus 5.10.2

2. But as for the richer sort, it proved all one to them whether they staid in the city, or attempted to get out of it; for they were equally destroyed in both cases; for every such person was put to death under this pretense, that they were going to desert, but in reality that the robbers might get what they had. The madness of the seditious did also increase together with their famine, and both those miseries were every day inflamed more and more; for there was no corn which any where appeared publicly, but the robbers came running into, and searched men's private houses; and then, if they found any, they tormented them, because they had denied they had any; and if they found none, they tormented them worse, because they supposed they had more carefully concealed it. The indication they made use of whether they had any or not was taken from the bodies of these miserable wretches; which, if they were in good case, they supposed they were in no want at all of food; but if they were wasted away, they walked off without searching any further; nor did they think it proper to kill such as these, because they saw they would very soon die of themselves for want of food.

FYI: Here you reading in more depth and detail about the famines Christ spoke of in Matthew 24:7, and that Agabus foretold in Act 11:28, thus showing this has been fulfilled. Now these things should bring to light more precepts in 2 Esdras such as 2 Esdras 16:17-18 - Woe is me! woe is me! who will deliver me in those days? The beginning of sorrows and great mournings; the beginning of famine and great death; the beginning of wars, and the powers shall stand in fear; the beginning of evils! what shall I do when these evils shall come? So as you see, this was in regards to the prophecy Christ spoke of in Matthew 24 which is dealing with the destruction of Jerusalem. So as you can see, the most dreadful famines, occured while Jerusalem was besieged and before its utter ruin, as the Josephus shows. Remember Christ states this about famines right after telling them of the wars and rumours of wars, in which this was told "NOT TO YOU", but to his disciples of the upcoming events before the destruction of Jerusalem, not America. Famines are the natural result of civil wars, which during this period in time that this did come to pass, it was full of calamities, horrific battles, and earthquakes in many places, as you are being shown in great detail, so the famines Christ spoke of was fulfilled.

Pestilences

FYI: The next part of the precept said "and pestilences", in which pestilences normally accompany with famines, and are therefore mentioned together, because scarcity and badness of provisions generally produce epidemic disorders. History also shows us that, at Rome in the days of Nero which was so severe that within the space of one autumn there died no less than 30,000 persons. Then in the Josephus you learn that a pestilence is recorded as raging in Babylonia about 40 AD, and history shows also in Italy in 66 AD, in which both of these took place before the destruction of Jerusalem, thus also showing this has been fulfilled.

Earthquakes

FYI: The next part of the precept said "and earthquakes", in which they did occur in various places as prophecy stated. History records earthquakes in Crete in 46 AD, Rome 51 AD, Apamaia 53 AD, Laodicea 60 AD, Campania 62 AD, also Hierapous and Colosse were overtaken by earthquakes in 60 AD. Further research shows also that, there were some in Miletus, Chios, Samos, and Judea, and Pompeii was overwhelmed and almost destroyed by an earthquake, thus showing and proving there was earthquakes in divers places as Christ prophesied. Many cities are recorded as being swallowed up in Syria and Macedonia, and the bible records earthquakes in divers places after the Messiah's prediction and before 70 AD, such as in Matthew 27:51, Matthew 28:2, and Acts 16:26.

Josephus 4.4.5

5. And now did the Idumeans make an acclamation to what Simon had said; but Jesus went away sorrowful, as seeing that the Idumeans were against all moderate counsels, and that the city was besieged on both sides. Nor indeed were the minds of the Idumeans at rest; for they were in a rage at the injury that had been offered them by their exclusion out of the city; and when they thought the zealots had been strong, but saw nothing of theirs to support them, they were in doubt about the matter, and many of them repented that they had come thither. But the shame that would attend them in case they returned without doing any thing at all, so far overcame that their repentance, that they lay all night before the wall, though in a very bad encampment; for there broke out a prodigious storm in the night, with the utmost violence, and very strong winds, with the largest showers of rain, with continued lightnings, terrible thunderings, and amazing concussions and bellowings of the earth, that was in an earthquake. These things were a manifest indication that some destruction was coming upon men, when the system of the world was put into this disorder; and any one would guess that these wonders foreshowed some grand calamities that were coming.

FYI: For there broke out a prodigious, meaning in great size far beyond what is usual in magnitude, storm in the night, with the utmost violence, and very strong winds, with the largest showers of rain, with continued lightnings, terrible thunderings, and amazing concussions and bellowings of the earth, that was in an earthquake. These things were a manifest indication that some destruction was coming upon men, in which we know now that, that destruction also referred to as Jacob's trouble, was the destruction of Jerusalem, thus showing again the earthquakes also have been fulfilled. Also we must examine something that was said in Luke the 21st chapter, so lets go there.

Question: What was said in Luke the 21st chapter that pertains to this?

Luke 21:11 - And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

FYI: The something that was said, was that along with the earthquakes in divers places and famines and pestilences, there also should be fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. Lets go to the Josephus and get a firm account of what happen already that your pastors and elders will not tell you.

War of the Jews Book 6 Chapter 5

Thus there was a star resembling a sword, which stood over the city, and a comet, that continued a whole year. Thus also before the Jews' rebellion, and before those commotions which preceded the war, when the people were come in great crowds to the feast of unleavened bread, on the eighth day of the month Xanthicus, [Nisan,] and at the ninth hour of the night, so great a light shone round the altar and the holy house, that it appeared to be bright day time; which lasted for half an hour. This light seemed to be a good sign to the unskillful, but was so interpreted by the sacred scribes, as to portend those events that followed immediately upon it. At the same festival also, a heifer, as she was led by the high priest to be sacrificed, brought forth a lamb in the midst of the temple. Moreover, the eastern gate of the inner [court of the] temple, which was of brass, and vastly heavy, and had been with difficulty shut by twenty men, and rested upon a basis armed with iron, and had bolts fastened very deep into the firm floor, which was there made of one entire stone, was seen to be opened of its own accord about the sixth hour of the night.

FYI: Are you paying attention, fearful sights, such as a star resembling a sword, stood over the city, and a comet that continued a whole year. Great signs from heaven, such as at the feast of unleavened bread, during the night, a bright light shone round the altar and the temple, so that it seemed to be bright day, for half an hour. Another sign was that, the eastern gate of the temple, of solid brass, fastened with strong bolts and bars, and which had been shut with difficulty by twenty men, opened in the night of its own accord. Then at the same festival also, a heifer gave birth to a lamb, come on now, if a cow giving birth to a sheep ain't a sign for you, then I don't know what is. Your being shown this was fulfilled back before the destruction of Jerusalem, but lets continue there is more.

War of the Jews Book 6 Chapter 5

Now those that kept watch in the temple came hereupon running to the captain of the temple, and told him of it; who then came up thither, and not without great difficulty was able to shut the gate again. This also appeared to the vulgar to be a very happy prodigy, as if God did thereby open them the gate of happiness. But the men of learning understood it, that the security of their holy house was dissolved of its own accord, and that the gate was opened for the advantage of their enemies. So these publicly declared that the signal foreshowed the desolation that was coming upon them. Besides these, a few days after that feast, on the one and twentieth day of the month Artemisius, [Jyar,] a certain prodigious and incredible phenomenon appeared: I suppose the account of it would seem to be a fable, were it not related by those that saw it, and were not the events that followed it of so considerable a nature as to deserve such signals; for, before sun-setting, chariots and troops of soldiers in their armor were seen running about among the clouds, and surrounding of cities.
Moreover, at that feast which we call Pentecost, as the priests were going by night into the inner [court of the temple,] as their custom was, to perform their sacred ministrations, they said that, in the first place, they felt a quaking, and heard a great noise, and after that they heard a sound as of a great multitude, saying, "Let us remove hence."

FYI: The gate opening on its own accord was a sign showing that the security of their holy house was dissolved of its own accord, thus was the gate opened for the advantage of their enemies. As you read, these things were signs that foreshadowed the desolation that was coming upon them, which was the destruction of Jerusalem. Then before sun-setting, you had chariots and troops of soldiers in their armor were seen running about among the clouds, and surrounding of cities. Another sign shown was, a great noise, as of the sound of a multitude, was heard in the temple, saying, "Let us remove hence." Then if you read further in this same chapter, another sign is shown when four years before the war began, Jesus, the son of Ananus, a plebeian and a husbandman, came to the feast of the tabernacles when the city was in peace and prosperity, and began to cry aloud, "A voice from the east, a voice from the west, a voice from the four winds, a voice against Jerusalem and the holy house, a voice against the bridegroom and the brides, and a voice against this whole people!" He was scourged, and at every stroke of the whip He cried, "Woe, woe to Jerusalem!" This cry, was continued every day for more than seven years, until He was killed in the siege of the city, exclaiming, "Woe, woe to myself also!"

FYI: So again, as you read, these things were signs that foreshadowed the desolation that was coming upon them, which was the destruction of Jerusalem which have already been fulfilled. See those who you see today claiming these are the last days and the signs of the times, are completely taking what was written out of context, trying to show the people that this battle, these earthquakes, or these famines in such and such, are signs that Christ is about to return, are spiritually retarded. Cause as you have been shown in great detail, all these things happened in the time prior to 70 AD and the fall of Jerusalem, thus showing they are not signs as these ignorant pastors and elders and Israelite cults want you to believe. Just common sense is all it takes, cause when you look back over history, when has there been a time when there were not wars, famines, pestilence and earthquakes? Then ask yourself, if the people before you who experienced wars and famines and pestilence and earthquakes, equated them as being "The signs of the Times", or "The end of the World", or is this something new that just started when you begin to read the bible? Then you will see how stupid someone has made you, taking away basic common sense from your brain, and giving you you tube videos as a means of foresight lol.

Question: What else did Christ say?

Matthew 24:8 - All these are the beginning of sorrows.

FYI: The things you just read about, Christ told his disciples, not YOU IN THE HERE AND NOW OF AMERICA, that these things are not the end, but rather just the beginning of sorrows. What you have to understand is biblical terminology, great troubles and calamities are often expressed in scripture language metaphorically by the pains of travailing women. So understand that the whole land of Judea is represented under the notion of a woman in grievous travail, and all that you just read about, were only the first pangs and throes, and nothing in comparison of that hard and death-bringing labor, which should afterwards take place. Just like today a woman may feel contractions despite being nowhere near birth, which would cause her to be confused as to whether or not she was going into actual labor, so to keep the disciples from being confused, Christ forewarned them of the things to come and the signs of them, just like a doctor warns a pregnant woman of experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions before the actual hard labor, letting her know such contractions are merely the beginning of the actual hard contractions that should afterwards take place. See if these religious institutions wouldn't deceive the people not to read the Old Testament telling them its done away with, then they could have studied the language of birth pains, back in Isaiah 13:8, Isaiah 26:17, Jeremiah 4:31, Jeremiah 6:24, and Micah 4:9-10. So lets continue on with this lesson.

Governmental Deception Toward New World Order

Many are not privy to higher knowledge that goes on behind the scenes, and therefore are confined in their understanding and limited to the results of another blind person's reasoning. Remember earlier in the lesson we learned that there was then a great number of false prophets suborned by the tyrants to impose on the people? Then I proceded to drop hints of how the tyrants were those in power ruling, who in today's time would be the government, and told that just as the tyrants hired these false prophets, so does the CIA with televangelist false prophets today, to deceive the people by giving them a false testimony of deliverance, as the CIA does with the false prophet televangelist today with the Rapture doctrine, to make them think they are going to be delivered up into the sky, you remember? Then I proceeded to say that this government does that today, what the tyrants did back then to keep the people from liquidating all their assets and fleeing, but except its done now in our time here in America, where they give that false testimony to keep the people from leaving the country in hopes of waiting on the Rapture so that they will not be subjected to taking the mark of the beast in the New World Order.

Well let me brief you on one of the Elite's Secrets of War, in which was detail in documents that have now been declassified and are in the hands of those who know how to obtain them. The first thing you must know is that, Matthew 24 has been completely fulfilled, which I'm in the process of showing you in this lesson, but the masses of society have no idea. In 1984, the CIA sent out a memoir to all the Elite churches within the World Council of Churches, in which they met up in California and communed for 2 days. At this meeting it was discussed on how the Jewish Society alongside the United Nations wanted direct teachings upon Apocalyptic events and catastrophes. Billy Graham being the front runner man on the religious seen, didn't quite understand how they were to teach such a doctrine seeing as how the public understood Matthew 24 had been fulfilled. So Nelson Rockefeller, agreed to fund Hippies and other radicals quote on quote, to begin street movements of proclaiming the end of the world is near. Then they selected which televangelists would promote the Rapture unto their members, and the rest where assigned to destroy the understanding the people had on Matthew 24, and promote it as being a future prophecy.

So this is where you get into the promotions of the Rapture doctrine, in which the Jewish Elite who control Hollywood, began to use propaganda to spread this rapture doctrine. Why you may ask? Because it was never taught before on the face of the earth prior to 1738, which before then no one had ever heard of such a doctrine because it wasn't written of in the bible. So the televangelist would have a hard time trying to teach such a doctrine without the people discovering their deception of taking scriptures out of context. So from that meeting, the Jewish Elite began indoctrinating well known televangelists and actors and actresses and musicians and television networks to promote this doctrine of "The Rapture". Let me tell you they pulled out all cards just so they can pull this one over the people heads. So upon the people hearing the televangelists speak about "The Rapture", they would become curious about it. So in order to transform the curiosity of the people into a reality, the Jewish Elite inked out movies and television shows and books and music and video games thats in reference to the Rapture, to quench the people's thirst and format their spiritual idealogy around the bases of a false since of security. Why, so that upon the next staged terrorist attack on America soil and the declaration of marital law being issued, the people will never suspect that the real rapture is them being rounded up by UN Soldiers and forced into concentration camps. Mastermind deception.

Governmental Deception Toward New World Order (Part 2)

See what many people didn't know was that, the events of 911 were suppose to be the spark that would instill massive and permanent fear into this society. Then with that fear, they would use the televangelist to promote Matthew 24 which they did, thus to drum up wars, which they have, with Iraq and Afghanistan, and they created rumors of possible wars with Iran, North Korea, China, and Russia, which you see all this folding out right before your eyes in the media. That's why they continue to allow the media to show you quote on quote, North Korea refusal to cooperate with the United Nations sanction on nuclear power, North Korea struck South Korea, US ship near security boundaries of China, US requesting China to defuse North Korea, Iran is threatening war with Israel, thus the Elite loves because it profits the ushering in of a New World Order, all under the "wars and rumours of wars and nation against nation and earthquakes" of Matthew 24, which you were just shown in great detail that has been fulfilled. So this further lets you know, that they are operating in the Spirit of the antichrist, cause they are using the bible's fulfilled prophecies in Matthew 24, to make the people think they are future tense. The people are unaware that, 911 set the stage for them to implement their end of times scenario, when really its the end of the old age and the ushering in of the New Age, just like how the end of times where thought to be near back in the Apostle's days, in which the end of the Hebrew Age was at hand, ending in 70 AD, so is is thought today that the end of the world is near, thus showing ain't nothing new under the sun.

So just like the disciples and the people of that time didn't understand that at first, now thousands of years later here we are today with the Shadow Government and all its power, instilling the same belief into this society, in order to bring in their New World Order by creating the end of the world scenarios. They will continue to keep giving end of the times movies which these only help their televangelist to reverse the belief of Matthew 24 as being fulfilled, to now taking away the people's understanding and making it appear as if it was a future prophecy which now their living in the last days. So now you have the Shadow Government using what is called the TX Project and Vertical agenda, where they are literally using satellites which they setup in space, to literally target certain areas and oceans, to cause these earthquakes and hurricanes and volcanoes and storms, to further blind the people into thinking Matthew 24 is being fulfilled and the end is near, while using this as a distraction to walk them into the Global Environment Community, translation, New World Order. Let me drop this jewel on you, natural earthquakes can be triggered by artificial induction, in which if you look at each of the earthquakes that have been made known of to the public as of late, there has been reports of people seeing a flash of light before the earthquake happened, but these stories are being suppressed by the Zionist controlled media.

Why, remember Satan parallels his world of reality, to that of spirituality, so knowing there are bible believers throughout the earth, he causes events to occur by working through the powers to be, which resemble something which the bible says is to occur, just to deceive the masses from comprehending his agenda. See he knows those who believe in the bible, are accrediting these earthquakes as being a sign of the end of the days, while knowing that the Shadow Government are using particle beam weapons, in which they generate these beams from two points and cross them at a specific location on the planet. Doing this, creates a flash and a pressure will move down into the earth, reverberate somewhere in the crust and come back up and induce an earthquake. The weapons they have set up on the Moon, enable storms to be generated artificially at the sea, or over large lakes, then guided to a specific target or location by modifying upper atmosphere electrical charges, using HAARP. In each of the Apocalyptic movies they have been showing you massive earthquakes in certain places of the world, knowing those not privy to higher information, will try and link them to biblical prophecy as being the last days, which these are so not and you know I can show you in more ways than one, as I'm already doing in this lesson. So what are these days, well really these are the final phases leading toward the New World Order, but in order to keep the masses from seeing that, the beast (government) had to exemplify powers that only the masses thought the Most High was able to do, and many fail to understand that the Shadow Government are operating under the Spirit of the Anti Christ. So now that you are intellectually inclined on Elite's hand in all this, lets get back to the lesson with this knowledge in mind.

Question: What else did Christ say to his disciples?

Matthew 24:9 - Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

Mark 13:9 - But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

Luke 21:12 - But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

FYI: For starters, the apostles were constantly threatened (Acts 4:17): Acts 5:27-28 says "Ye should not teach in His name," this was the command of the Pharisees. We see again the persecution for the name's sake of Christ from Mat.24:9. Acts 5:40 also says "they should not speak in the name of Jesus." Acts 5:33 shows the Pharisees took council to kill them. Peter and John were imprisoned (Acts 4:3): So were many other apostles (Acts 5:17-21): Paul and Silas were beaten and imprisoned (Acts 16:23-24): The Jews laid hands on Paul to kill him (Acts 21:26- 33), and brought him before the Pharisees and the Sadducees (Acts 23:12-15), and then brought him before governors (Acts 24:10,22), then Felix (Acts 24:24), and King Agrippa (Acts 25:23; 26:1), and Gallio (Acts 28:12), which fulfills Matthew 10:18 as well. As soon as Paul began preaching, he began to experience persecution (Acts 9:23-24, 29): Paul was stoned (Acts 14:19), and beaten and cast into prison (Acts 16:19-24). Paul was beaten five times by the Jews (2 Corinthians 11:24).

FYI: Acts 6:9-15 shows the Jews clearly reproached Stephen and cast out his name as evil, then stoned Stephen to death (Acts 7:59). Paul (Saul before his conversion), relentlessly persecuted believers in a rather violent manner (Acts 8:3; 9:1-2). Then immediately upon his preaching Christ in the synagogues, Paul's experience of persecution for the name of Jesus would begin (Acts 9:23-24,29). James, the brother of John, was killed by Herod (Acts 12:2), and Peter was thrown in prison (Acts 12:1-5). The Jews cast out the name of Jason as evil for the cause of Christ (Acts 17:5-8). Paul describes the trying fire that the disciples were enduring (2 Cor.6:4-10; 11:23-27,32-33). Persecution always awaited him (Acts 20:22-24). Christ said the disciples would be afflicted, beaten, imprisoned; they would be hated for his name's sake and some would be killed; they would be brought before councils, rulers, and kings, for a testimony; they would be given a mouth of wisdom which their adversaries could not dispute. As you have been shown here, the disciples experienced all of this before the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD, just as Christ said they would, thus showing this prophecy also to be fulfilled in great detail. Both Jews and Gentiles united in persecuting and tormenting them, but if you research beyond the book of the Acts of the Apostles, to the bloody persecutions under Nero, you shall find these predictions still more amply fulfilled, in which countless number of believers were killed, besides the Apostle Peter and the Apostle Paul, showing this also has been fulfilled.

Question: What else did Christ tell his disciples?

Matthew 24:10 - And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

FYI: Christ letting them know, that many shall stumble and turn away from the faith, who before professed to love him, but in the time to come, when persecution arrives for his name sake, their true character will be shown. John spoke this about those such people Christ warned the disciples about in 1 John 2:19 saying - They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. Then when you go to 2 Timothy 1:15 you hear the Apostle Paul speaking about those who turned away from him saying - This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. And also in 2 Timothy 4:10 he said - For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. But not only where they to apostatize from the faith, but they would betray one another, in which when you do the research, you'll find out that when they were seized, to spare their own life, they snitched on others by revealing the names and habitations and places of others, who were discovered and convicted and murdered. So as you can see also, in which this was literally fulfilled in the persecution of the Jews, thus showing this has been fulfilled.

Question: What else did Christ tell the disciples?

Matthew 24:11 - And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

FYI: Here he warns them of many who shall come pretending to be foretellers of future events, thus appearing during the siege of the city, thus separating this precept from Matthew 24:5. When you read the Jewish Wars in the Josephus, you learn that many did come declaring that aid would be given to the people from heaven, in which also the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:13 spoke of them as being deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. Then you have Hymenaeus and Philetus spoken of in 2 Timothy 2:17-18, who claimed the resurrection is past already, and overthrew the faith of some, such as Ebion and Cerinthus and Carpocrates and Nicolaitans and many others, who subverted others faith. John recorded of these such men who denied Christ in 2 John 1:7 saying - For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.

FYI: This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Then you go to Acts 13 you learn about the false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus, and also you learn of Elymas the sorcerer. Then you go to Galatians 1:6-7 you read how the Apostle Paul marveled how some were so removed from the faith, unto another gospel by those that trouble them, who pervert the gospel of Christ. Then you can go to Phillipians 3:18-19 and read - (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) Then you can go to Jude 1:4 and read - For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. So once again as you can see, its so much you can reference to, but as you see once again, this has been fulfilled.

Question: What else did Christ say to the disciples?

Matthew 24:12 - And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

FYI: So after informing them of these such things to come, he let them know that from these trials and persecutions and wickedness and those who departed from the faith as well as the false prophets within, the love of many to the gospel and to one another, shall wax cold. Some deserted from the faith, others corrupted it for their own gain, and through the violence of persecution, many people lost their zeal for the gospel. Then because of the false prophets he warned them about, many became reluctant to fellowship together with other saints, cause knowing their were false prophets in the midst of them, made them feel as if they didn't know who to trust, so to be on the safe side, they stayed to themselves. This is why when you go to Hebrews 10:25, you find this exhortation being given - Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Question you need to ask yourself is, what day was approaching? Which you understand now that day as being the destruction of Jerusalem. So telling them they need not to forsake gathering to uplift and help one another, was of urgency so that no more depart from the faith because of iniquity that had already begin to abound, and caused the love of those who now forsake assembling together cause they don't know who to trust, to wax cold. The fear of death and deluding influences of false prophets, weighed heavy upon the people's zeal and caused them to become weak and fearful, cause if they were to assemble, they would besitting ducks, meaning exposed to more danger than others. The destruction of Jerusalem was the day approaching, and this precept here as you now know, has been fulfilled.

Question: What else did Christ say?

Matthew 24:13 - But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

FYI: Strikingly amazing I find, is that the word "end" used here in this precept, is the same "end' with the same meaning as the one we learned about earlier in Matthew 24:6 when Christ told them "but the end is not yet". So we really don't have to go back to the Strong's to get the definition, but just for the clarification of it, lets go.

FYI: So the word "end" used here in this precept, means the conclusion of an act or state, just like we learned earlier back in Matthew 24:6. So he that shall not be terrified by these trials and persecutions, nor turned aside from the faith, nor be seduced by the teachings and prophecies of false prophets, who shall not be ashamed to profess your faith in Christ, and not forsake assembling with each other, and still have love to your brother, the same one shall be saved. For unto such a one who remains faithful and rooted firmly in the faith, Luke 21:18 lets us know that there shall not an hair of your head perish. None of those who remained as such perished in the destruction of Jerusalem, as Apostle Peter once said in 2 Peter 2:9 - The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations. The believers who remained faithful, didn't die in the fall of Jerusalem but yet fled to the mountains as Christ had told them to, thus were they delivered (saved), from the calamity, thus showing once again, this has been fulfilled.

Question: What else did Christ say to his disciples?

Matthew 24:14 - And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

FYI: Back in Matthew 24:9 I showed how the apostles were persecuted and despised right? Indeed, so ask yourself, why would the apostles be hated in all nations if they had not preached the gospel in all nations for Christ name sake? Then when you go to Acts 17:6 which says - And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; So ask yourself, how could they cry that they turned the world upside down, if they had not heard of them preaching in all nations? Then when you go to Acts 24:5 which says - For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes: So ask yourself, how was the Apostle Paul being labeled as a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, being identified as the ringleader, if they were not preaching the gospel in all nations? Then when you go to Colossians 1:5 which says - For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; So it says they heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, so the question we need to know, is where did this gospel go in order for them to hear it?

FYI: To get the answer we go to Colossians 1:6 which says - Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: What a minute, did the Apostle Paul just say the gospel came unto them, as it is in all the world? Indeed he did say that, which means in order for the gospel to come unto them as it is in all the world, then it had to have been preached in all nations just as Christ had said it would, before the end of the Jewish Age and destruction of Jerusalem come. For further proof, when you go to Colossians 1:23 it says - If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; Wait a minute again, did he just say be not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you have heard that was preached to every creature which is under heaven? Yes indeed thats what he said, thus showing again, that in order for the gospel to have been preached to every creature under heaven, then it had to have been preached in all nations just as Christ had said it would, before the end of the Jewish Age and destruction of Jerusalem come, thus showing this has been fulfilled completely. The destruction of Jerusalem and the end of the Jewish Age didn't come until 70 AD, and when Apostle Paul said it was preached to every creature under heaven, the year was 62 AD, thus showing it was written 8 years before Jerusalem was destroyed, which was the end of the Jewish Age.

FYI: But where not going to stop there, we need to shut this topic down completely, so lets go to the book of Romans. Romans 1:8 - First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. Wait a minute, how was there faith spoken of throughout the whole world without the mentioning of the gospel? It couldn't have been, which means the gospel was heard throughout the whole world just as Christ said it would. Which just on the account of the Apostle Paul alone of his duty in spreading it, he went to Arabia, Jerusalem, IIIyricum, Asia Minor, Greece, Crete, Italy, some say problem Spain and Gaul. All the other labourers went abroad and preached the gospel some northward as Scythia, as far southward as Ethiopia, as far eastward as Parthia, and India, as far westward as Spain and Britain. Acts 8:4 - Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. Romans 8:25 - And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans. Preached it in many villages, thus showing they were active and not just sitting around doing nothing. Then when we begin to take into account the other Apostles labour, because 30 years after this prophecy was proclaimed, churches were established in all these regions.

FYI: When you go to Acts 9:31 it says - Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied. Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, thus showing they were laboring putting in work. Then when you go to Acts 1:8 it says - But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. So the place where the Spirit of the Most High would come upon them, there would be dwelling there people from the uttermost part of the earth, in which Acts 2:5 says - And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. So if dwelling there where people out of every nation under heaven, then that means the gospel was preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, thus also showing Matthew 24:14 has been fulfilled. Titus 2:11 says - For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Then first 1 Timothy 3:16 says it was preached and believed on in the world. In Romans 10:18, the word "world" is oikumene, same as Mat.24:24, and the word "earth" is ge, same as Acts 1:8. In Romans 16:25-26, the word "nations" is ethnos, same as Mark 13:10. In Colossians 1:6, the word "world" is kosmos, same as Mark 16:15. In Colossians 1:23, the word "creature" is ktisis, same as Mark 16:15, and Hebrews 4:2 says the gospel was preached. Before the destruction of Jerusalem, the gospel had to be preached which you see now it was unto every creature under heaven, thus showing the gospel of the Saviour, illuminates the whole world like the rays of the Sun, thus showing Matthew 24:14 has also been fulfilled.

Brief Intermission

Now we have dealt with the signs of the destruction of Jerusalem, that is, the circumstances and things which were to be the forerunners and attendants of this great event. So now having just went over the precepts of the things which passed before the siege, now we shall focus on those which happened during and after the siege.

Question: So what else did Christ say unto them?

Matthew 24:15 - When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

FYI: When you see the phrase "abomination of desolation", that's a Hebrew expression that means abominable or hateful destroyer. So to understand this lets go to Luke 21:20 and see what Christ says - And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. So here you learn this abominable or hateful destroyer, is the Roman Army, which is called the "abomination" on account of the images of the emperor, and the eagles, carried in front of the legions, and regarded by the Romans with divine honors. Every idol, and every image of a man, was called an abomination' among the Jews. Desolation, was because they were to lay waste Jerusalem, lets go to the Josephus and bring this out.

Josephus War of the Jews Book 6 Chapter 6

1. AND now the Romans, upon the flight of the seditious into the city, and upon the burning of the holy house itself, and of all the buildings round about it, brought their ensigns to the temple and set them over against its eastern gate; and there did they offer sacrifices to them,

FYI: So here you see in the Josephus, that when the city was taken, the Romans brought their idols into the temple, and placed them over the eastern gate, and sacrificed to them there, thus were the Roman army rightfully called the abomination.
When you go to Mark 13:14 and it says But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not, understand that place where it is standing is the holy place, as not only the city, but a considerable compass of ground about it, was deemed holy, and consequently no profane persons should stand on it.
The Romans to the Jews were an abomination, not only because they consisted of heathen men, and uncirumcised persons, but mainly because of the images of their gods, which were upon their ensigns: for images and idols were always an abomination to them; so the "filthiness" which Hezekiah ordered to be carried out of the holy place, back in 2 Chronicles 29:5, thus showing the abomination as also being an idol or idols.

FYI: 1 Maccabees 1:54 says - Now the fifteenth day of the month Casleu, in the hundred forty and fifth year, they set up the abomination of desolation upon the altar, and builded idol altars throughout the cities of Juda on every side; This further proves what I just said. So Christ was letting them know, that whosoever then reads and has understanding of the prophecy of Daniel, would easily understand the meaning of what is about to occur. So what he said overall, was that when you see the Roman armies encompassing the holy city Jerusalem or encamped around the temple, with their ensigns flying, and these abominations on them, then you should know that desolation was near at hand, meaning the end has come. Thus showing if they had an understanding of prophecy, then they could consider how to escape the desolating judgment, of what had been prophesied by Daniel that was to come. Telling them when they should see the abomination of desolation, that was the sign that believers should flee from Jerusalem, which they did thus showing this prophecy has also been fulfilled.

Question: What did Christ say next?

Matthew 24:16 - Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

FYI: So he was letting them know, that when the Roman army shall advance to besiege Jerusalem, the end has come, so then let them who are in Judea consult their own safety, and flee into the mountains. In the Josephus we learn that, on a sudden without any cause, Cestius Gallus came with his army raising a siege against Jerusalem, then withdrew his army, when the city might have been easily taken. Despite this not being the actual end that Christ had spoken of nor the abomination of desolation that was to destroy Jerusalem, this act by many believers was taken as a signal to start leaving. Many fled from the city, as if it would be taken presently: and after his retreat, "many of the noble Jews departed out of the city, as out of a sinking ship :" Many believers made this a start to up and leave anyhow taking no chances of being apart of the desolating judgment that was to come. When Roman Emperer Vespasian and his son Titus begin drawing their forces towards Jerusalem, a great multitude of them then fled into the mountainous country, for their security, thus all who believed in Christ left Jerusalem. Why the mountains, because they abound in caves, and were considered a safe retreat for those who are pursued, they were a favorite place to resort when in times of danger. In the book From Babylon to Timbuktu by Rudolph R. Windsor he states:

From Babylon to Timbuktu

“In the year 65 BC the Roman armies under General Pompey captured Jerusalem. In 70 AD, General Vespasian and his son Titus put an end to the Jewish state, with a great slaughter...many outrages and atrocities were committed against the residue of the people. During the period from Pompey to Julius, it has been estimated that over 1,000,000 Jews fled into Africa, fleeing from Roman persecution and slavery. The slave markets were full of black Jewish slaves.” (p. 84)

FYI: Thus further showing that the believers did take heed to Christ prophecy and fled, thus showing once again this precept here also has been fulfilled.

Question: What else did Christ say?

Matthew 24:17 - Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

Matthew 24:18 - Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

FYI: 1 Samuel 9:25 says - And when they were come down from the high place into the city, Samuel communed with Saul upon the top of the house. So from there we learn that Samuel communed with Saul upon the top of the house, just as in 2 Samuel 11:2, we learn that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house. So here when you read "let him which is on the housetop", is speaking of the same place Samuel communed with Saul or where David stood, which is on top of the house. What you have to understand is that, the houses of the Jews, as well as those of the ancient Greeks and Romans, were flat on the top, for them to walk upon, and had usually stairs on the outside, by which they might ascend and descend without coming into the house. In the eastern walled cities, these flat-roofed houses usually formed continued terraces from one end of the city to the other, which terraces terminated at the gates. In which a terrace is a row of houses built in a similar style and having common dividing walls (or the street on which they face). So one would usually go on top of the house, either for devotion or recreation or for meditation or for social conversation and sometimes for public preaching.

FYI: So the meaning of what he is saying here, is that he who should be on the housetop when this calamity comes upon the city, they should flee without delay, instantly pursuing their course along the tops of the houses, and escape out at the city as fast as they possibly can. Showing that so sudden would this calamity come, that they have no time to try and secure any of their goods or money or food from out of their house, thus doing so they put their life in danger thus causing them to lose it, instead of ceasing the opportunity of making their escape quickly. Thus this same expression is used in regards to him that is in the field, ploughing or sowing or employed in any other parts of husbandry or rural business. Such as in good weather, when the sun warms the earth, men might plough and sow without their shirts off, same as today when its hot outside they might mow the lawn without their shirts off.

FYI: They might not literally leave their shirts at the house and then go out, as in most cases they would take them off in the field and leave them in the corner of the field or at the land's end. So here Christ is using the same expression, that as soon as they heard the news of Jerusalem being besieged, they should immediately make the best of their way, and flee to the mountains, thus showing that their escape or flight must be sudden and hasty as Lot's was out of Sodom, giving no mind or time to turn back because destruction was about to occur, turning back would result in them losing their life just as Lot's wife did when she turned back and gave mind to the things in her house. Those that took heed to this prophecy escaped quickly just as they warned, cause just as quickly as they did, all egress or any attempt of coming out of the city was then prevented by the Roman armies, who encamped until they destroyed Jerusalem. This was fulfilled also.

Question: What else did Christ say?

Matthew 24:19 - And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

FYI: It wasn't criminal to be with child nor was this a judgment upon those who would be pregnant, instead Christ was expressing the miserable circumstances that those pregnant would find themselves in that the siege would bring about. As you have learned, this calamity was to come suddenly and swiftly, and required those who were to escape, to have to move in a haste the best way they could to flee to the mountains. A pregnant woman wouldn't be able to move in such a haste, if not out before time, she would be obliged to stay at home and endure all the miseries of the siege, Christ was having pity and concern for the misery and distress they would be subjected to. As we learn in the Josephus, houses were full of women and children that perished by the famine, and that mothers snatched the food even out of their own children's mouth. But lets read one more horrid story that occured.

Josephus War of The Jews Book 6 Chapter 3

4. There was a certain woman that dwelt beyond Jordan, her name was Mary; her father was Eleazar, of the village Bethezob, which signifies the house of Hyssop. She was eminent for her family and her wealth, and had fled away to Jerusalem with the rest of the multitude, and was with them besieged therein at this time. The other effects of this woman had been already seized upon, such I mean as she had brought with her out of Perea, and removed to the city. What she had treasured up besides, as also what food she had contrived to save, had been also carried off by the rapacious guards, who came every day running into her house for that purpose. This put the poor woman into a very great passion, and by the frequent reproaches and imprecations she east at these rapacious villains, she had provoked them to anger against her; but none of them, either out of the indignation she had raised against herself, or out of commiseration of her case, would take away her life; and if she found any food, she perceived her labors were for others, and not for herself; and it was now become impossible for her any way to find any more food, while the famine pierced through her very bowels and marrow, when also her passion was fired to a degree beyond the famine itself; nor did she consult with any thing but with her passion and the necessity she was in. She then attempted a most unnatural thing; and snatching up her son, who was a child sucking at her breast, she said, "O thou miserable infant! for whom shall I preserve thee in this war, this famine, and this sedition?

FYI: This is what Christ was talking about when he said woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days, because of the hardship and miseries of the siege they would find themselves between a rock and hard place.

Josephus War of the Jews Book 6 Chapter 3

As to the war with the Romans, if they preserve our lives, we must be slaves. This famine also will destroy us, even before that slavery comes upon us. Yet are these seditious rogues more terrible than both the other. Come on; be thou my food, and be thou a fury to these seditious varlets, and a by- word to the world, which is all that is now wanting to complete the calamities of us Jews." As soon as she had said this, she slew her son, and then roasted him, and eat the one half of him, and kept the other half by her concealed. Upon this the seditious came in presently, and smelling the horrid scent of this food, they threatened her that they would cut her throat immediately if she did not show them what food she had gotten ready. She replied that she had saved a very fine portion of it for them, and withal uncovered what was left of her son. Hereupon they were seized with a horror and amazement of mind, and stood astonished at the sight, when she said to them, "This is mine own son, and what hath been done was mine own doing! Come, eat of this food; for I have eaten of it myself! Do not you pretend to be either more tender than a woman, or more compassionate than a mother; but if you be so scrupulous, and do abominate this my sacrifice, as I have eaten the one half, let the rest be reserved for me also." After which those men went out trembling, being never so much aftrighted at any thing as they were at this, and with some difficulty they left the rest of that meat to the mother. Upon which the whole city was full of this horrid action immediately; and while every body laid this miserable case before their own eyes, they trembled, as if this unheard of action had been done by themselves. So those that were thus distressed by the famine were very desirous to die, and those already dead were esteemed happy, because they had not lived long enough either to hear or to see such miseries.

FYI: So to prevent her child from becoming a slave if their lives were to be spared by the Romans, this woman killed her son and then roasted him and ate one half of him. In which after this, it says the whole city was full of horrid action immediately, thus showing the circumstances of aggravation. Then you read that those who were already dead were esteemed happy, meaning considered to be blessed, because they had not lived long enough either to hear or to see such miseries. This is how come when Christ was being led to execution, and the women followed weeping and crying, and he said unto them in Luke 23:28-30 - But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

FYI: We just read were they esteemed happy or blessed, those that were dead, the barren would be able to escape quickly and endure the hardship toward safety as many did. Those who were pregnant with children or had infants, wouldn't be able to do as the barren woman could. The women that found themselves in these miserable conditions, desired for any shelter or refuge and so very desirous were they of hiding themselves, themselves, that some thousands of them crept even into the common sewers, and there miserably perished, or were dragged out to slaughter. So Christ was like don't cry for me, cry for yourselves, cry for those who wouldn't be able to make haste out of Jerusalem before its destruction. He knew those who tender affection to their infants would not suffer them to leave them behind, and yet such their weakness, that they would not be able to carry them with them, without them being a hindrance to their flight, thus also as you see was this precept fulfilled.

Question: What else did Christ say?

Matthew 24:20 - But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

FYI: Pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, because the hardness of the season, the badness of the roads, the shortness of the days, and the length of the nights, the traveling through large snow, or floods of water would bring about great delays to their flight. Wherefore as you see here, Christ directs them to pray to the Most High, who has the disposal of all events, and of the timing of them, that he would so order things in the course of his providence, that their flight might not be in such a season of the year, when travelling would be very difficult and troublesome. As where in the destruction of the first temple, it happened in the summer, and not in the winter, the Most High prolonged time for them showing them favor. So they were encouraged to pray for that same favor if it be in the Most High's will to show unto them. The Law had stated back in Exodus 16:29 that - See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

FYI: The law stated abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. So this leaving out of Jerusalem in a haste upon it being besieged, would require them to travel upon a long journey, which is something that was prohibited on the Sabbath. So they were encouraged to pray that also this calamity be not upon the Sabbath, also Christ knew something else. Christ also knew that the Jews who believed not in him, had their own superstition that no one could travel on a Sabbath day, more than two thousand cubits, which according to their traditions, was considered a Sabbath day's journey. He knew that if it was upon a Sabbath, the non believing Jews would not suffer them to travel, which would not be sufficient for their flight to put them out of danger. If they should not go farther than a Sabbath-day's journey, they would not be beyond the reach of danger, and if they did, they would be exposed to the charge of violating the law. When you go to Nehemiah 13:19-22, you will learn that it was nearly impossible to travel in Judea on the Sabbath day, as gates were usually closed.

FYI: So as you can see, this would present a problem for them if it be in winter or on the sabbath day, so how could they escape then? In the twelfth year of Nero, Cestius Gallus, the president of Syria, came against Jerusalem with a powerful army. He might, says Josephus, War, b. ii. c. 19, have assaulted and taken the city, and thereby put an end to the war; but without any just reason, and contrary to the expectation of all, he raised the siege and departed. Josephus remarks, that after Cestius Gallus had raised the siege, "many of the principal Jewish people, forsook the city, as men do a sinking ship." Vespasian was deputed in the room of Cestius Gallus, who, having subdued all the country, prepared to besiege Jerusalem, and invested it on every side, but the news of Nero's death, and soon after that of Galba, and the disturbances that followed, and the civil wars between Otho and Vitellius, held Vespasian and his son Titus in suspense. So these events are occuring by the Most High's will and ordering, to buy the believers time to make their escape out of the city.

FYI: Thus the city was not actually besieged in form till after Vespasian was confirmed in the empire, and Titus was appointed to command the forces in Judea. It was in those incidental delays that the believers, and indeed several others, provided for their own safety, by flight. In Luke 19:43, Christ says of Jerusalem, Thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side. Accordingly, Titus, having made several assaults without success, resolved to surround the city with a wall, which was, with incredible speed, completed in three days! The wall was thirty-nine furlongs in length, and was strengthened with thirteen forts at proper distances, so that all hope of safety was cut off; none could make his escape from the city, and no provisions could be brought into it. See Josephus, War, book v. c. 12, also showing this has been fulfilled.

Question: What was the reason why Christ gave them this caution?

Matthew 24:21 - For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

FYI: The word tribulation here is in reference to calamity or suffering, which Luke 21:24 specified in what this tribulation would consist by saying - And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled, that is until the time allotted unto them by the Most High, to do it, shall be fully accomplished, or as long as it pleases him to suffer them to do it. First thing Luke mentioned is that "they shall fall by the edge of the sword", thus showing one of the sufferings would be that they would slain in war, which to show this has been fulfilled, lets go to the Josephus, and remember Christ stated that there would be such a great calamity, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, nor ever shall there be one again like this one.

Jewish Wars Preface Section 4

But if any one makes an unjust accusation against us, when we speak so passionately about the tyrants, or the robbers, or sorely bewail the misfortunes of our country, let him indulge my affections herein, though it be contrary to the rules for writing history; because it had so come to pass, that our city Jerusalem had arrived at a higher degree of felicity than any other city under the Roman government, and yet at last fell into the sorest of calamities again. Accordingly, it appears to me that the misfortunes of all men, from the beginning of the world, if they be compared to these of the Jews (3) are not so considerable as they were; while the authors of them were not foreigners neither. This makes it impossible for me to contain my lamentations. But if any one be inflexible in his censures of me, let him attribute the facts themselves to the historical part, and the lamentations to the writer himself only.

FYI: So as you see here, he just said that all the calamities, which had befallen any nation from the beginning of the world, were but small in comparison with those of the Jews, which confirms what Christ said which was such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. So that alone lets you know that, this New World Order that is to come about, is nothing in comparison to what happen to the Jews in 70 AD.

War of the Jews 6.9.3

Accordingly, the multitude of those that therein perished exceeded all the destructions that either men or God ever brought upon the world; for, to speak only of what was publicly known, the Romans slew some of them, some they carried captives, and others they made a search for under ground, and when they found where they were, they broke up the ground and slew all they met with.

FYI: Amazing how the precept says "the multitude of those that therein perished, exceed all the destructions that either men or God EVER brought upon the world. So can the bible tell us what day this was? Jeremiah 30:7 - Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it. The destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in 70 AD, was the great day that none was like it, thus known as Jacob's Trouble. The believers were saved out of it and escaped as Christ told them, to the mountains, thus showing again this precept of prophecy has been fulfilled.

Question: What else did Christ say?

Matthew 22:22 - And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

FYI: When you go to the Jewish Wars," b. 6 chapter 8, section 5; chapter 9, section 2, 3, you learn a part of what happen during the massacre when the city was taken. Which you learn: "And now, rushing into the city, they slew whomsoever they found, without distinction, and burned the houses and all the people who had fled into them; and when they entered for the sake of plunder, they found whole families of dead persons, and houses full of carcasses destroyed by famine, then they came out with their hands empty. And though they thus pitied the dead, they had not the same emotion for the living, but killed all they met, whereby they filled the lanes with dead bodies. "The whole city ran with blood," insomuch that many things which were burning were extinguished by the blood." That's just one account you read, then he adds that in the siege of Jerusalem not fewer than "eleven hundred thousand" perished (Jewish Wars, b. 6 chapter 9, section 3) - a number almost half as great as are in the whole city of London.

FYI: In the adjacent provinces no fewer than "two hundred and fifty thousand" are reckoned to have been slain; making in all whose deaths were ascertained the almost incredible number of "one million three hundred and fifty thousand" who were put to death, and 100,000 survivors were sold into slavery. So now you can understand that, if these wars and desolations were to continue, none of the Jews would escape destruction, they would all be murdered, and if the Romans had gone on destroying in this manner the whole nation of the Jews would certainly, in a little time, have been destroyed completely. These were the days in which all the calamities predicted by Moses, Joel, Daniel, and other prophets, as well as those predicted by Christ, met in one common center, and were fulfilled in the most terrible manner on that generation.

FYI: So on the behalf of those who were true believers, to preserve them alive, and to make them the instruments of spreading the gospel of Christ, those days were not lengthened out so as to produce their destruction. When you go to Jewish Wars Book 1 Chapter 12 Section 1, you learn that Titus at first resolved to reduce the city by famine, so he therefore built a wall around it to keep any provisions from being carried in, and any of the people from going out. The Jews, however, drew up their army near the walls, engaged in battle, and the Romans pursued them, provoked by their attempts, and broke into the city. The affairs of Rome, also, at that time demanded the presence of Titus there; and, contrary to his original intention he pressed the siege and took the city by storm, thus "shortening" the time that would have been occupied in reducing it by famine, in which this was for the benefit of the "elect."

FYI: So the besieged themselves helped to shorten those days by their divisions and mutual slaughters; and by fatally deserting their strong holds, where they never could have been subdued, but by famine alone. So well fortified was Jerusalem, and so well provided to stand a siege, that the enemy without could not have prevailed, had it not been for the factions and seditions within. When Titus was viewing the fortifications after the taking of the city, he could not help ascribing his success to the Most High, thus saying "We have fought," said he, "with God on our side; and it is God who pulled the Jews out of these strong holds: for what could machines or the hands of men avail against such towers as these?" War, b. vi. c. 9. So as you see, the designs of wicked people, intended by them for the destruction of the people of the Most High, are intended by the Most High for the good of his chosen people, also showing that this also has been fulfilled.

Question: Then what did Christ say unto them?

Matthew 24:23 - Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

Matthew 24:24 - For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

FYI: When you go back up to Matthew 24:11, you see that Christ had already cautioned his disciples against false Christs and prophets. Here in this precept, he is informing them that there would be a special need of importance to attend to this caution about the time of the siege. The Jews expected the Messiah to deliver them from Roman oppression, so in the time of these great calamities they would anxiously look for him. This opens the window for wicked men to come in claiming to be the Messiah, in which as we read before, many did follow those who pretended to be the Messiah. When you go back to Ant. b. xx. c. 7 in the Josephus, you learn that among these where Simon Magus, and Dositheus, as mentioned before; and Barcocab, who, pretended to vomit flames. Then you had Jonathan, a very wicked man, who led many into the desert of Cyrene, promising to show them signs and wonders, and was overthrown by Catullius, the Roman governor. It is certain that, these and some others were so good in imitating miraculous works that they deceived many; and such were their works, that if the elect, the chosen persons, the believers, had not had the fullest evidence of the truth of Christ's mission and miracles, they would have been deceived too. But having walked with the Messiah himself, Christ told them to believe it not these imposters when they do such signs to try and deceive them to think they are him. The disciples had evidence that the Messiah had come, so during this period of tribulation, they were instructed to give no heed to false prophets, false Christs, or to those who say Christ is here or there, thus has this also been fulfilled.

Question: What else did Christ say?

Matthew 24:25 - Behold, I have told you before.

Matthew 24:26 - Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

FYI: Christ had told them before hand, so that they might be on their guard and prepared for when those times where to come, and could be secure in their faith in him and not be led away by the imposters. Go back to War of the Jews Book 2 Chapter 13, and War of the Jews Book 6 Chapter 5 or back up to where Matthew 24:5 was broke down, and read about this happening and being fulfilled.

Question: What else did Christ say?

Matthew 24:27 - For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:28 - For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

FYI: This is not speaking of the particular place of his coming, but rather speaking of the manner, thus showing that he would come in a rapid and unexpected manner, like the lightning. Some would be looking for him to come out of the East and some would expect him to come out of the West, he was showing it would be useless to look to any particular part of the heavens to know where the lightning would flash next. Why, cause in a moment it would blaze in an unexpected part of the heavens, and shine at once to the other part, doing so rapidly, so unexpectedly, would be his coming. So the lightening that cometh out of the east and shineth even unto the west, is in comparison to the manner of his coming. The question that prompts from this then, is what coming? Well in the Josephus you learn that, "the Roman army entered into Judea on the east side of it, and carried on their conquest westward, as if not only the extensiveness of the ruin, but the very route, which the army would take, was intended in the comparison of the lightning coming out of the east, and shining even unto the west." 'For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together,' -ver. 28, thus meaning by the word carcase, the Jewish nation, which was morally and judicially dead, and whose destruction was pronounced in the decree of heaven, thus was the desolating judgment Christ coming upon them.

FYI: See what most fail to understand here is that, Christ after his usual manner applied a proverbial expression with a particular meaning. So wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together;' so wheresoever the Jews are, there will Christ be taking vengeance upon them by the Romans, who are properly compared to eagles as the fiercest birds of prey, and whose ensign was an eagle, to which Christ was alluded to in this passage. And as it was said, so was it done ; for the victories of the Romans were not confined to this or that place, but like a flood overran the whole land. Josephus saith that "there was no part of Judea, which did not partake of the calamities of the capital city." So as you see this is not speaking of his last coming to judgment for this was to be done before the destruction of Jerusalem, foretelling his coming in his wrath and vengeance to destroy that people, their nation, city, and temple through the Romans. Remember when Titus was viewing the fortifications after the taking of the city, remember how he could not help ascribing his success to the Most High, thus saying "We have fought," said he, "with God on our side; and it is God who pulled the Jews out of these strong holds: for what could machines or the hands of men avail against such towers as these in War, b. vi. c. 9 of the Josephus? Thus showing it was the Spirit of Christ upon them to overtake Jerusalem and the temple and the nation.

Evaluation (Part 1)

Remember how back in verse 5 Christ said - For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many, and in verse 11 he said - And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many, and then how in verse 23 when he begin to caution them that during the great suffering that - Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not, then proceeded to tell them that at this time - For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect, remember that? Now what is simply amazing is that, there is no evidence that any one arose claiming this title of being the Christ or Messiah before the beginning of His ministry. Which goes to show there was something so very extraordinary in the conduct of these false Christs and false prophets, in their appearance at that time particularly time before and during the destruction of Jerusalem, that Christ had to caution his own disciples that if any man came claiming to be him during this tribulation, believe it not. So what that goes to show you as I said earlier, is that the Jews expected the Messiah to deliver them from Roman oppression, so in the time of these great calamities during this tribulation period, they would anxiously look for him. Thus doing so, would open the window of opportunity for wicked men to come on the scene claiming to be the Messiah, but the disciples having walked with the Messiah himself, Christ told them to believe it not these imposters when they do such signs to try and deceive them to think they are him. The disciples had evidence that the Messiah had come, so during this period of tribulation, they were instructed to give no heed to false prophets, false Christs, or to those who say Christ is here or there.

So from this it is obvious that, there hath been a true prophet, a true Christ that had already come, otherwise there wouldn't be no false ones coming on the scene, thus would there have been no reason for Christ the true Messiah, to warn his disciples about the counterfeits. There would not have been so many false Messiahs, had not a true Messiah been promised by the Most High God of Israel, and expected by men. The Jews expected the Messiah to come around this time during the tribulation period, to deliver them from Roman oppression, and consequently that the prophets had beforehand marked out that very time for his coming. For we read not of any false Messiahs before the age of the Saviour, nor of so many in any age after, so that would prompt one to wonder, why did they rise at that time particularly, if the Messiah was not at that time particularly expected? Which prompts another question, why did the Jews expect their Messiah at that time more than at any other, if that was not the time before appointed for his coming?

Daniel 9:24 - Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Daniel 9:25 - Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

So as you see here, the Prophet Daniel in particular had foretold, that Messiah the prince should come towards the end of seventy weeks of years, or 490 years, from the going forth of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem. From Daniel it was understood that the Messiah would come and would be cut off, and the series of desolations would commence which would result in the entire destruction of the city. But before these weeks of years were, by one account or other, near expiring, history saith nothing of these false Messiahs, but when the prophetic weeks drew towards a conclusion, then these impostors arose frequently, like so many meteors to dazzle the eyes, and mislead the wandering steps of Jews and Samaritans. This is why nothing can be a more evident and convincing proof, that the Jews then understood the prophecy in the same sense as the Christians and so called Israelites today understand it, thus proving ain't nothing new under the sun.

Thus showing that what we read of back in the Josephus, in regards to false prophets being the occasion of the people's destruction, and how a great number of them were suborned by the tyrants to impose on the people, is the same thing as I said was done in 1984 with the draw up to push the Rapture doctrine in conjuction with Matthew 24. The tyrants were those in power ruling, who in today's time would be the government. The tyrants hired these false prophets as the CIA does with televangelist false prophets today, to deceive the people by giving them a false testimony of deliverance, as the CIA does with the false prophet televangelist today with the Rapture doctrine in conjuction to Matthew 24, to make them think they are going to be delivered up into the sky. This the government does today to keep the people from liquidating all their assets here in America, and leaving the country in hopes of not being taken captive at the coming New World Order. Now should you really see that the spirit that was in the King of Tyre is the same spirit that is behind the ruling power today, which is Satan, he has been using bible the entire time to deceive the entire world, while having them look for one man as being the anti christ.

It may be farther observed from hence, that the Messiah was expected to work miracles, in which miracles are the credentials of a messenger from the Most High, and it was foretold particularly of the Messiah, that he should work miracles. So that means, there was no pretending therefore to the character of the Messiah without the necessary qualifications. Had not the power of working miracles been esteemed an essential ingredient in the character of the Messiah, these impostors would never have had the assurance to pretend to it, or been so foolish as to hazard their reputation, and venture their whole success upon such an experiment: but all of them to a man drew the people after them with a pretence of working miracles, of showing signs, and wonders, and apparitions. Now the very miracles which the Messiah was to perform, Christ hath performed, and none other besides Christ. The prophet Isaiah foretold, that the Messiah should cure the lame and the blind, the deaf and the dumb; and accordingly these very persons were cured in great numbers by Christ.

The prophet Isaiah foretold likewise, that these miracles should be wrought in the desert; and accordingly in the desert Christ wrought them, and by the way I suppose this prophecy was one principal reason why most of the false Christs and false prophets led their followers into solitudes and deserts, promising there to show signs and wonders. Now you should also understand why in Matthew 24:26 Christ said - Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. This goes to show you, that even the false prophets had to study the old testament in order to understand who the Messiah is and his character and his purpose, otherwise they couldn't deceive nobody. Amazing how the false prophets today, tell the people the Old Testament is done away with, and they are New Testament creatures of the grace of Christ, but yet fail to see they dumber than the false prophets before, who knew that one could not understand who Christ is and his purpose without studying the Old Testament. The personal relationship that these people think they have with Christ, is false, for they only have a relationship with the love of a lie from out their pastors mouth.

Question: What else did Christ say?

Matthew 24:29 - Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

FYI: Immediately after the tribulation, what tribulation? The false prophets coming in the name of Christ, wars and rumors of wars, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom, famines and earthquakes and pestilence, being delivered up to be afflicted and killed and hated for the gospel sake, betrayal of one another, abomination of desolation encompassing Jerusalem, the sudden haste out of the city, the circumstances of miseries those with child would find themselves in, falling by the edge of the sword, being taken captive, the destruction of Jerusalem, that was the tribulation spoken of that occured in those days. People forget, he still talking to his disciples, and somehow magically become spiritually retarded to think he is talking to them in this day and age, and that ain't even the case.

FYI: So now he begins to let them know that immediately after these calamites, what shall occur, and the fact that he said "immediately after the tribulation of those days", shows that this is not a future or distant event, but rather of something immediately consequent upon the tribulation before mentioned, and is the destruction of Jerusalem. Here comes the perplexed language that many unlearned people have a hard time trying to comprehend, and therefore just relate it to being future tense, to end their confusion. Most fail to understand that, it is in prophetic language, that great commotions and revolutions upon earth, are often represented by commotions and changes in the heavens. So those without an understanding of the language, fail to realize Christ proceedeth in the same figurative style here in Matthew 24 as the prophets of old did when describing such calamities.

Biblical Language

The sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

FYI: These images of language are not to be taken literal, they are often employed by the sacred writers to denote "any great calamities." As the darkening of the sun and moon, and the falling of the stars, would be an inexpressible calamity, so any great catastrophe - any overturning of kingdoms or cities, or dethroning of kings and princes is represented by the darkening of the sun and moon, and by some terrible convulsion in the elements. The fall of Babylon is represented by the stars and constellations of heaven withdrawing their light, and the sun and moon being darkened, see Isaiah 13:9, Isaiah 13:10. The destruction of Egypt is represented by the heaven being covered, the sun enveloped with a cloud, and the moon withholding her light, see Ezekiel 32:7, Ezekiel 32:8. The destruction of Tyre is told in similiar manner, see Isaiah 24:23. The slaughter in Bozrah and Idumea is predicted in the same language, see Isaiah 34:4. The destruction of the Jews by Antiochus Epiphanes is represented by casting down some of the host of heaven, and the stars to the ground, see Daniel 8:10. And this very destruction of Jerusalem is represented by the Prophet Joel, Joel 2:30, Joel 2:31, by showing wonders in heaven and in earth - darkening the sun, and turning the moon into blood. This general mode of describing these judgments leaves no room to doubt the propriety of its application in the present case.

FYI: The sun darkened is in representation of the divine presence in the temple, in which the glory of the Most High, who is a sun and a shield, filled the tabernacle, when it was reared up, and so it did the temple, when it was built and dedicated. In the most holy place, the Most High resided, it was a symbol of his presence such as the mercy seat, and the two cherubim over it, his angels. This is how come we read in War of the Jews Book 6 Chapter 5 in the Josephus, that when it was said in Luke 21:11 that there would be fearful sights and great signs from heaven, this how come one of the signs involved the priests in the inner court of the temple which said that, in the first place, they felt a quaking, and heard a great noise, and after that they heard a sound as of a great multitude, saying, "Let us remove hence". This token of divine presence remained till the utter destruction of it, and when removed from it, thus was it darkened, the glory of it was brought to nothing. So this should bring you back to Matthew 23, where Christ specifically said unto them "Behold, your house is left unto you desolate", thus implying the Most High no longer dwelt there, which you see one of the signs dealt with the priest hearing a sound of a great multitude, saying, "Let us remove hence".

FYI: Understand that darkness and night, in the Scriptures, are often the emblem of calamity and distress, such as was faced with the destruction of the temple. The moon not giving her light, is to be understood in a figurative and metaphorical sense, with the moon being in reference to the government of the Jewish State, which came to ruin or eclipsed so that it no longer shine in its respective state. The stars represented the judges and doctors and nobles in ruling power who when calamity came upon, they ceased from the honor of the law, the splendour of wisdom, and the glory of the priesthood, thus did they fall from such high positions. The Messiah's manifestation is full of joy to believers, so it has an aspect of wrath to unbelievers, which is represented here. Thus when the Jews received him not in his coming of grace, he came in judgment on Jerusalem through the Roman army.

Question: What else?

Matthew 24:30 - And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

FYI: At the destruction of Jerusalem, the sign or evidence of his coming was found in the fulfillment of these predictions. The destruction of Jerusalem was such a remarkable instance of Divine vengeance, such a signal manifestation of Christ's power and glory, that all the Jewish tribes mourned, and many did, in consequence of this manifestation of the Most High, be led to acknowledge Christ and his gospel. Their unbelief caused such vengeance to come upon them, now seeing the things he predicted come to pass, such as all the calamities, then they would believe he is the true Messiah that they rejected. Notice also the precept said, and then shall appear the "sign" of the Son of man in heaven, and didn't say then shall appear the Son of man. Christ didn't come in person, but rather came in the power of his wrath and vengeance, on the Jewish nation which was a full sign and proof of his being come:

FYI: When the above calamities came upon the civil state of that people, and there was such changes in their ecclesiastical state, thus was it unto them as clear a point, that Christ had come in the flesh, and that he is also come in his vengeance on their nation, for their rejection and crucifixion of him. So much so unto them, as if they had seen him appear in person in the heavens, because they had been always seeking a sign, and were continually asking one of him; and now they will have a sign with a witness; as they had accordingly. Those of the land of Judea, mourned. Christ came like a black parent with a wet belt and two switches tied together and a extension cord, through power made them feel the power of his arm and might. Beating them for their blindess and stupidity to make them see the glory of him, that he was more than just a man, and no other than the Son of the Most High, whom they despised, rejected, and crucified, and after that butt whooping, where they crying their eyes out. Part 3 is also on the way, by now you should have clearer understanding of Matthew 24, as not being what it is taught to be today by so many, shalom.
